Program Details
Algonquin Adventure Tours (AAT) was proud to introduce daily private guided 3 hour bicycle tours, to Algonquin Provincial Park, in 2014. AAT founder and bicycle aficionado, Stuart Lorne Letovsky (aka Bikeman), has biked thousands of km/miles while exploring the globe and competing in amateur MTB racing. So, it was a natural fit for us to start sharing beautiful Algonquin Park by bicycle. If you like bikes and nature, you will have an awesome time!

GT & Devinci mountain bikes, freshly washed helmets (mandatory at all times) and 20km on the scenic rail trail with breaks for panoramic photos are all part of your adventure. Your guide will teach about the history of Algonquin Park and the flora/fauna encountered during the adventure. A delicious light meal (with a Henrietta's sandwich & granola bar) is included on all tours.
As with all wilderness tours, animal encounters are a rather random and rare occurrence. Although moose, fox, bald eagle, muskrat, squirrel, rabbit and turtles have been observed, we sometimes only see chipmunks and birds. But a skilled guide increases the chances of a memorable and safe educational adventure. During trips in late July and August, you can sample a single wild blueberry, occasionally, in proximity of black bears filling their bellies on the same.

Although no special experience is required, participants of this adventure must be fit enough for 3 hours of solid pedalling over a sometimes mildly bumpy railway bed trail.

Trips are run, rain or shine, as long as there is no lightning. We may delay departure by up to 1 hour. Refund/credits will be issued if a trip is canceled for lightning.

Participants will need to purchase their car day permit at either entrance gate to the park. Please allow an extra 15 minutes for this task at either park entrance gate office.
